Clarion The Hub Facilities And Amenities
As the hotel had recently opened, during my stay the gym and relaxation area was not complete or open. There was a sign posted stating the following:
Due to unforeseen delays, our gym and relaxation area on the lower ground floor is still under construction. You’ll soon be able to enjoy these wonderful facilities, but in the meantime, you are welcome to use the facilities at our sister hotel Folketeateret. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The Hub relax-section is designed to include a pool, saunas, and a well-equipped gym. I’m sure when it opens it will be worth spending some time in.
Restaurants And Bars At The Hub, Oslo
The hotel has two bars and two restaurants. As many ingredients as possible for these establishments are sourced from the GrowHub, the rooftop garden, and used on site.
Hub Bar at Clarion Hotel The ground floor Hub Bar serves continental breakfast and lunch. It is a great place to stop in the morning to grab a coffee, pastries, or some freshly squeezed juice.
The Hub bar is open to guests of the hotel and locals. In the evenings, Hub Bar turns into a metropolitan meeting place.
Here you can enjoy your choice between beer from local breweries, a large selection of wine, cocktails, and mocktails. Enjoy after-work drinks with a live DJ every Friday.
Breakfast Buffet Restaurant
The second-floor restaurant is where you will enjoy a large buffet breakfast every morning.
Breakfast includes various hot and cold foods. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, salad, cheese, bread, and pastries are just a few of the items available. Various coffees, teas, and juices are also available.
Norda Restaurant is located on the 13th floor of the hotel. The dishes are created with local meat coming from Norwegian farms and some of the vegetables from the GrowHub on the rooftop.
These plates are a combination of Nordic cuisine infused with big city flavors from around the world. The restaurant also has a raw bar with seafood and oysters and a dry age cabinet. It is interesting with all the great wines available in Europe, over half the wines on the menu come from the USA.
Norda also has a chef’s table, where Star chef Marcus Samuelsson, serves you a carefully composed meal.
Bon Bon Bar
Bon Bon Bar is the cocktail club also located on the 13th floor of the hotel. The bar, which was designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible, has a stunning view of Oslo.
The bar stocks spirits from the local distilleries Bareksten and Himkok, two of Norway’s foremost producers.
Alternately, you can enjoy various Nordic spirits, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Bon Bon Bar also offers an assortment of bar snacks.
On sunny days, the panoramic windows on the 13th floor can be opened up to lead out into an outdoor restaurant area, offering stunning views of the Oslo Opera House, Bjørvika, and the Oslo Fjord.
